Mahatma Gandhi was born on 2nd October 1869 in a Gujrati family. He started his elementary education at a local school in Rajkot near his home. From a very early age, he was in love with books and school lessons. Later on, he joined Alfred high school for his higher studies. He was a timid and tongue-tied student.

In may 1883, when he was 13 years old, he married to 14 years old Kasturba Gandhi; later on, after completing his Law studies in London, he practiced law for several years in South Africa and fought against racialism there. Then after returning from South Africa to British Ruled India, he dedicated his whole life to the nation in the Indian Independence Movement. With his true dedication and willpower, our nation got independent from British rule on 15th august 1947.

Mahatma Gandhi was born on 2nd October 1869 in Porbandar, Gujrat. His father was Karamchand Gandhi, and his mother was PutlibaiGandhi.He was the last child of his parents.His father was Dewan of Porbandar.
